Mount Hermon Retreat FAQs
When is it?Plan to arrive around 6:30pm at Mount Hermon (get directions to the parking lot) on Friday.
Pick-up is 11:00am on Sunday.
Parents - please arrange your own transportation.
We'll be feeding you dinner Friday through breakfast Sunday.Where is it?

There will be signs directing you to the Santa Maria area; please park at the Adventure Center (get directions) and find the Newton Memorial area.Who should go?
This retreat is for Confirmation teens who didn't go on the LinC Retreat. Remember - teens in our Confirmation program go to one retreat per year!
What does it cost?
The Mount Hermon retreat is included in your annual Registration Fees. For guests, friends, and non-Santa Maria folk, the cost is $200, and that includes lodging, food, our meeting space, and everything else the Mount Hermon folk provide for us.
What do you need from us?
I need teen leaders and parent chaperones - I've got a few already, but I definitely need a dad or two. Anyone up for an adventure?How do I sign up?
Simply return your Permission Slip to Megan. That's all!

Life on Fire: Teen and Parent Session
Father Stan Fortuna is coming to Santa Maria!
He'll be doing an inspirational and entertaining session for teens (and parents!) the evening of March 17, at 6:00pm in the Parish Hall.
This is our Confirmation session of the day for both C1 and C2 - and dinner will be included! (Parents - RSVP so we know how much to cook for you, in addition to our 40 teens!)

C2 - fill out your Patron Saint Forms!
It's time to pick your Patron Saint!
Once you've chosen your Saint, please fill out this online form. If you change your mind, just fill it out again! I'll use the most recently submitted form for Confirmation Sunday.

Extra Involvement Opportunities (Confirmation Make-Ups)
Everyone is invited to these extra involvement opportunities - and each also counts as a Confirmation make-up if you follow the instructions (if any) at the end of each listing! Parents, please be aware - on rare occasions, some events are age-specific, so read carefully and use your best judgment in attending.
NB: You're allowed up to 2 absences per year for Confirmation, and you can make up the time with any of these events or others you've spoken to Megan about. Remember - make-ups make up the time you've missed; they don't "cancel out" your absence!

Santa Maria Youth Room
Come help get our Middle Schoolers psyched about our faith! Help with skits, discussions, crafts, activities, and more - work with Megan to plan something great for the youth that you're into, too.
For a make-up - contact Megan with enough time to plan something you'll be leading at Youth Group, then attend from 6:30pm-8:30pm for a half hour of prep before Youth Group stafts at 7pm.

Be inspired by Thomas Awiapo, Catholic Relief Services staff from Ghana, as he shares his powerful story of surviving severe hunger and poverty to go on to college and earn a masters degree here in the United States.
