I was born and raised into a Catholic family - a weekly Church goer since I was young, I loved going to Mass. I became a choir member in my later years. I love it because to me it is a second form of prayer.
Moving to California in the early 70's, we had no parish, and went to the Chapel of St. Mary's College in Moraga for Mass every weekend. Then later in the 70's, St. Monica's was built and became our home parish. I moved to Lafayette in the 90's and then St. Perpetua was closer to home - it was there that I became a choir member. A change of choir directors prompted me to change Parishes once more. It was then that I landed at Santa Maria.
Now, I have been here at Santa Maria for close to 14 years. Who could have imagined that here I would become not only a choir member, a member of the Finance Council, a planning partner on the Christmas Party Committee, and now the Administrative Assistant - a job I love. I'm grateful to be here.
