Pastoral Care is a ministry and service that was very dear to Jesus. He entrusted this care to his disciples: so as followers of Jesus, we are sent to heal human suffering and respond to every form of injustice whenever we encounter it.
We, baptized Christians, share in Christ's caring ministry. We extend His love, especially to those who are ill, through our solidarity through prayer and physical presence, primarily in two ways (click on the links below for more information):
Celebrating the Eucharist is at the very heart of our Catholic faith, but there are many parishioners who aren't able to join in the celebration due to illness or injury. In these cases, Pastoral Care Ministers bring the Eucharist to those unable to join us at Mass. Their physical presence and responsive support witness to our sacramental, devotional, and communal participation in the Church and in our parish community - no matter the location.
If you or a loved one are temporarily or permanently home-bound or at a care facility and are unable to attend Mass, please contact the Parish Office to schedule a time for a qualified and trained Pastoral Care Minister to bring Holy Communion to you.
There are members of our parish who are trained in Pastoral Care Ministry who are eager and willing to bring Holy Communion. Suzanne in the Parish Office will help you schedule a good time for someone to visit your home, care facility, or hospital.
